this is the generalized version of what is happening rn with all of my friends quitting their jobs in this hot market. REWARD YOUR PEOPLE BEFORE THEY QUIT.

sometimes manager's at bigger cos don't have the power to reward their existing people outside of the corporate box which is also a huge issue. a good manager should be happy for you and encourage you to take a better opportunity - not try to guilt you to stay.

so proud of all my friends who have been undervalued for so long quitting their jobs and getting AWESOME offers and new gigs. i will gladly hype anyone up who needs the encouragement to quit their job.

just a reminder that inflation was 6.2% this year so if you don't get at least a 6.2% raise in the next few months you're effectively getting a pay cut 🍵
