Not a fan of phone calls from numbers I haven't already saved 'cos I always immediately think it's either (1) a scam or (2) the police calling me in for something again.

This morning I drew the short straw and it was the police 🫣

An investigation officer introduced herself and said there is a matter pertaining to a Facebook post I wrote on 10 May this year. I didn't know what she was getting at but she wouldn't tell me what the post said or what the issue was. She said she'd explain more in person.

I was on the way to a meeting at the time and on the MRT in the tunnel (we actually got cut off) so told her to call me back later. She just did at 5pm. I'm to present myself at the Ang Mo Kio Police Division next Friday morning.

I asked her if it was an investigation — she's an IO after all — but all she said was that she would explain more to me when we meet at the police station. https://t.co/dgoaafRo2r

From previous experience (I've been questioned by the police 3x, plus accompanied others to the police station many other times), even if I showed up with a lawyer, the lawyer would not be allowed into the interrogation room with me and the police. This is Singapore.

And of course, the annoying part about not telling me exactly what the matter is *before* I go to the police station is that I can't seek legal advice to prepare myself beforehand either.
